Jesus Said About How to Be WitnessesMuestra
Relationship restored
God's Spirit comes and lives in us and empowers us to walk in His ways and guide us through life. When our relationship with God is restored, we discover our purpose and the meaning of life in our broken world. We can begin to live according to God's design for our lives.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17).
All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ (2 Corinthians 5:18).
We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:20-21).
He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32).
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For in Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2).
Three crucial questions
At this point, you ask the person three crucial questions:
1. In which circle are you?
2. In which circle do you want to be?
3. What prevents you from accepting Jesus' sacrifice to reconcile you with God the Father?
People will respond in different ways:
1. Some will say they are not interested.
2. Some will indicate they are in the circle where they are already restored with God (and therefore already a Christian).
3. Some will indicate they are in the "Brokenness" circle but do not want to change.
4. Others may indicate that they are in the Brokenness circle and wish to return to God's original plan for their lives.
Some would be willing to accept Jesus right there. Others would be willing to talk more about it – make an appointment with them on the spot.
For people who want to pray and receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour, there is a prayer they can pray (below).
Receive and believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
In John 1:12, we read: But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.
A prayer: If you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you can pray: Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. I am a sinner, and I cannot save myself. I surrender my life to You. Forgive my sins and cleanse me with the blood of Jesus. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour and choose to live under your Lordship. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. Please fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you for accepting me as your child and letting me know God is becoming my Father today. Amen
