Mantled for GreatnessMuestra
Time for an Upgrade
We have seen so many changes in the world over the past few years. It’s as if we are living in another place, one that is difficult to recognize. God is calling the builders, those who can pick up the assignment of heaven for what is, to come and begin to work in that direction. This word is for you: God is about to upgrade you—your anointing, the mantle under which you operate, or the assignment for which you’ve been sent. The Lord says, “It’s time for you to receive that upgrade.”
In 2 Kings 4:1–7 we read a story about a woman whose husband had died. She was out of money. Because of her debt, her two sons were going to be enslaved until the debt was paid. Desperate to keep this from happening, she reached out to the prophet Elisha. Coming to her home, the prophet asked, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?”
Elisha asked this woman two important questions. I believe God is about to bring you to places of divine opportunity where you will be asked, “What can I do for you?” The woman was ready with an answer to Elisha’s questions, and God met her needs.
Years ago, I was out ministering and began to prophesy in detail to an individual who I later discovered was very wealthy. After the ministry session, this person came to me and said, “I want to meet with you. I want to do lunch with you.” I agreed to the meeting, and when we sat down for lunch, this person said to me, “What do you need?”
I was stunned. Out of that situation, the Lord taught me to dream big, plan for greater, and always have an idea of what resources I need to accomplish the vision God has given me. Later, I received a sizable monetary gift from this person, but it wasn’t about the money. The greater lesson was recognizing the need to be prepared and able to articulate what was needed.
When you ask the Lord for wisdom, He will give it to you. Wisdom unlocks doors and allows you to take possession of the territory God has ordained for you. When Solomon was given an opportunity to ask the Lord for anything, he could have asked for great riches and treasures, but he didn’t. The Lord came to him in a dream and said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” Read 1 Kings 3:10–13 to see that encounter between God and Solomon.
Father, give me the wisdom, the know-how to go in and amongst the people. Give me the wisdom to guide those You have put into my care, to use Your resources wisely, and to win souls. Like Solomon, I don’t ask for money; I ask You for wisdom. In Jesus’ name, amen.
