A Proverbs 31 Woman LaughsMuestra
Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. Proverbs 31:25 (KJV)
How can we make strength and honor our clothing so we can laugh at the days to come? By Putting on Christ.
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, is our strength and honor clothing—He has won every battle for us and equipped us with the full armor required to enforce victory. That's why the Bible says, "When troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy." James 1:2 (NLT)
Consider these scriptures:
“The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is established, that it cannot be moved.” Psalm 93:1 (KJV)
“Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.” Psalm 104:1 (KJV)
With those scriptures in mind, we are not solely responsible for clothing ourselves with strength and honor. Since the Lord is clothed with honor and strength, when we put on Christ through salvation and daily accept His Lordship over our lives, we take on Christ's nature--clothed with honor and strength.
Putting on Christ through salvation: Galatians 3:26-27 (NKJV) says, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
Salvation brings us into God’s realm. Therefore, amid earthly adversities, we can laugh at days to come because we are spirit beings highly ranked in the heavenly realms, seated in Christ Jesus far above all principality and powers. Ephesians 2:4-6 (KJV) says, But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 2:1-4 (KJV) declares, “Why do the heathen rage, And the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, And cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall have them in derision.”
Our Lord is not worried about the future and demonic agendas. And His desire is for everyone under His Lordship to live fearlessly and anxious for nothing. We must live conscious of whose and who we are—We are the redeemed of the Lord, fighting from a position of victory to reveal the manifold wisdom of God in heaven and earth realms. Despite the trials we face and the intense darkness in the world, we can rejoice always and laugh at the days to come because He who sits in heaven laughs. As he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
Perhaps you grew up in church or said the salvation prayer long ago; today, you have an opportunity to reflect on your relationship with God and make a fresh commitment to serve Him.
If today was your last day on earth, do you know where you will spend eternity? Are you sure you will make it to heaven? If you are not sure. Please say this: Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe you sent Jesus to die for me and raised him from the dead. I receive your love and forgiveness. Reveal yourself to me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen
