Announcing The Good News
It is interesting that the birth of Jesus was announced by an angel to shepherds. The shepherds were probably simple, rustic folk, and the good news of the birth of the Savior was announced to them. What does that tell us? The good news is for everyone - the rich and the poor, the educated and the uneducated, and it is important enough for an angel to announce it. What about us? Are we willing to tell the good news to those we come in contact with - rich or poor, educated or uneducated? It is good news - in Christ we have salvation. Let us be bold in announcing this to others.
Prayer: Lord, I pray that we will take courage and announce the good news of salvation in Christ to those we come in contact with. We ask for your boldness and the power of your Spirit to enable us to be gracious and clear witnesses to the Gospel. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
