Courageous Choices Part 2Muestra

Courageous Choices Part 2

DÍA 4 DE 5

I WILL TELL OF GOD'S FAITHFULNESS

Sadly, it’s so easy to forget God’s goodness and faithfulness to us. Joshua knew this about human nature, so he directed one man from each tribe to take a stone out of the middle of the Jordan to build a memorial. Significantly, those stones came from the midst of the Jordan. These twelve men had to go back and get these huge stones. It was hard and perhaps dangerous to go back, but Joshua knew the importance of setting up a way to remember this miracle for generations to come. He also knew curious children would ask their parents about these stones and it would be a tangible way for the Israelites to share the story of God’s faithfulness. Each tribe participated. Each tribe had a stone in this memorial. Likewise, each Christian has a life story to share that will encourage our family members and fellow believers. Tell your stories!

Ask Yourself:

-What memorial stones can you set up (either literally or figuratively) to remind future generations of God’s faithfulness to you?

-How can you share with others the ways God has provided for you, rescued you, or protected you?

Pause to Pray: Think back over your life and take some time to thank God for specific ways He has been faithful to you. Ask Him to help you remember and share these stories of faithfulness with others in your life.

Take a Next Step:

-Think about an obstacle you face right now and remind yourself of God’s past faithfulness so you will have the courage to make the next right choice toward victory.

-Similarly, if someone shares with you an obstacle they’re facing, be prepared to share God’s faithfulness to you through your story.
