[Life of David] How to Wage Our Own BattlesMuestra
My Victory Is in Him
In any battle there are at least two groups, one who is the defender and the other that is the attacker. And there is always something that they are fighting for. Our main battle, as believers, is against the devil who is constantly looking at how to steal, kill, and destroy our faith, our testimony, and our souls. The enemy will use any situation in our lives to drive us away from God’s plan.
In the Old Testament, God’s people had a lot of battles, and they got the victory when they followed God’s plan for the attack. This situation was even more evident during King David’s reign. David made sure to carry out God’s instructions and the victory came from God. It was not the strategy itself that worked, for it always changed. The Lord made David victorious wherever he went – he had God’s hand upon him. In several passages, we read that David gave all the credit to the Lord for his victories, recognizing His help.
When we are in the middle of a battle, our victory comes from Jesus Christ. He can give you the power to win no matter what kind of battle you are in. You must listen carefully to what He has already said in His Word about you and the situation you are going through. Our enemy can use our circumstances to deceive us, but we need to remember he is already defeated. Jesus won the battle for us on the cross!
You can have success in your battle against lust, cancer, grief, tension in your marriage, workaholism, alcoholism, or anything else. The motivation and intention of our heart must be that the love of Christ compels us to believe what He said as the truth; His Word is our truth. We trust that God is the One who fights our battles and gives us the victory. We step in faith by believing His Word, by praying, and by singing songs that glorify God. This way we are putting our heart and our focus on the Lord.
You can do this by praying: “God, I want to trust You. You bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. You turn my lament into dancing. You heal the brokenhearted. You proclaim liberty and freedom to all the captives.”

Acerca de este Plan
Life is a constant battle. Right now, we are either in a battle, coming out of one, or about to get into one. King David had his share of battles, and God gave him the victory everywhere he went. What was his secret? Can we do the same? In this reading plan, Pastor Gregg Matte shows us through the life of King David the key principles to do just that.
