Peace Of Mind
Today’s passage in Isaiah teaches us a profound truth of when we trust in the Lord with our mind. Remember in the New Testament (Matthew 22:7) Jesus told the lawyer what the greatest commandment was, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." Isaiah tells the reader that we have perfect peace whose minds are steadfast.
The Hebrew text uses the word for steadfast "camak" as gaining confidence, sustaining me, upholding the righteous, established forever, and our hearts secure. In today’s world with all its mind-boggling events, workplace pressures, and family challenges, we have the steadfast rock of truth that will never fail, falter, or sway. When our minds are steadfast in absolute trust, Our Father will keep us in perfect peace!
Prayer: Glory and honor belong to you, righteous Lord. We accept your promise of perfect peace that you give. Help us to trust you with a holy trust in which our minds are steadfast in you. Lead us on paths of righteousness to the place of perfect peace. Thank you so much for loving us and taking care of us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
