10 ENCOURAGING Reasons for Trials

DÍA 5 DE 13

Today we talk about one of my favorite reasons that God allows affliction!

So that His power rests upon us!

More specifically, it is our dependence on Him during our weakness that brings this resting of His power upon us.

When we are weak, either physically, spiritually, or emotionally, our self-reliance becomes much weaker.
God uses this opportunity to help us see more clearly who we are and who He is.
This time of weakness is an opportunity for our blinders to come off.
We can see more clearly our need for God’s provision.

It is so much easier for us to trust Him, to depend on Him, and to surrender to Him when we are experiencing weakness.

This is when huge miracles can happen.
This is when the impossible happens.
This is when we find it easier to just get out of the way and let God work.

Bipolar will be with me the rest of my life and keeps me aware of my constant need for Him.
Although there are some extremely difficult times, I wouldn’t trade this affliction for anything.
It keeps me aware of my need for dependence on God, allowing His power to rest upon my life and be demonstrated through my life.

It also brings God glory, because, in my weakness, it is so obvious that God is the one doing amazing things, not me!

So the fourth beautiful reason for affliction is so that His power rests upon us!

If your trial was gone, would self-reliance sneak back in?
Have you ever seen God do miraculous things when you were at your weakest point?
Would you have relied on God’s power if you hadn’t been weak from your trial?
