Walk Through The Bible 365 - MayMuestra
Maintain God’s Standards
There was gross immorality in the Corinthian church. But even more shocking was that the church was not only accepting the immoral behavior but seemed to be arrogant in their tolerance of such sinful behavior. Paul demands that the church confronts the sin and disciplines the sinner so that he repents. Even today, with the values of the world so much at variance with that of God's kingdom, how do we handle blatant sin in the church? God's standards need to be maintained, sin needs to be confronted and the sinner disciplined till the person comes to repentance.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we are sorry for compromising and not maintaining your standards as given in the Bible. Let us as a church be willing to stand firm and where required confront sin and even discipline the sinner with the intention that the discipline will lead to repentance and restoration of a right relationship with you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
