Seven Days of Being a Woman Up LeaderMuestra
DAY 2: Spiritual Gravity
Gravity is a universal force that causes matter to be pulled toward one another. And the bigger the matter, the more gravity it exerts. I don’t know about you, but after the culinary indulgences of the holidays, I’m a bit more gravity-ish, if you know what I mean.
There is gravity in the physical world, but there is also gravity in the spiritual world. Spiritual gravity comes from what we give weight to in our souls. Do you give weight to fear, insecurity, judgment, failures, etc.? We cannot let these things hold us down. We are called to “throw off” the weight that holds us back, so that we can run the race that God has set before us.
Anti-gravity leaders counter those heavy, burdensome thoughts by doing what the Word says, filling their minds with “whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." (Phil. 4:8 ESV) This exercise lifts the spirit!
We see Barak in Judges chapter 4 giving weight to his fear. Deborah has to go to him not once, but TWICE, to convince him of the victory that God had promised! He was giving weight to his fear, and she had to use her anti-gravity voice to call him UP. (See Judges 4:14 where Deborah says to Barak, “Up….)
What is it today that you are giving weight to in your soul?
Choose today to give weight to some new things. Give weight to God’s Word. Give weight to prayer. Give weight to the Holy Spirit. Give weight to the unique call of God on your life. Because when we take on GOD’S weight, it is easy and light!
Let’s WOMAN UP!
Acerca de este Plan
Are you tired of the tension between outside voices and your inward call? It’s time to WOMAN UP. Beginning today, imagine yourself on a journey of discovering your leadership voice.
