The God Of Love And Justice
Many have read the OT and thought that God was so cruel. He destroyed nations He did not like, gave the nations to His promised people. Is our God really like that? When we study (not just read) the whole bible, we will know that our God is so loving, and so so patient. As Peter said, The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). God had not cut off the nations of Amorites when he promised to give Abram the promised lands (Genesis 15:16), for the sin of the Amorites had yet reached its full measure, God has been waiting for 400 years for them to repent.
Prayer: Thank you Father Lord for your love and patience toward us. Pray Holy Spirit give us patience to be slow to judge others, but with your love and interceding, those un-saved will be touched and saved by your love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
