Worship: Draw Close to God

Most of us have a hard time modeling the attitudes of submission and humility. These attitudes are essential to spiritual growth, however, as they show a willingness to be guided by God. Satan’s pride— and our adoption of it—is opposed to God’s plan for godly living. And as many of us know from experience, the way of pride and selfishness leads only to confusion and strife. True contentment comes only when we submit our lives to God and follow his plan. As we admit our failures and humbly seek to do God’s will, we find ourselves drawing close to God. As we draw close to God, he will renew our spiritual lives.
