1and the whole earth is having been one language and one words. 2and it is having been, that they have moved out in east, have they found a plain in land Shinar, and have self there settled. 3and they have said one to another: come let us make brick and burn in a brickworks. and the brick is them having been for stone, and clay is them having been for mortar. 4and they have said: come let us us build a city, and a tower with its top in heaven, and let us us make a name, so that we shall not spread out become on face of the whole earth. 5has Hashem gone down to see the city and the tower, which the benei adam have built. 6and Hashem has said: behold, they are one people, and one language is by them everyone, and this is look a beginning of their doing, and now will of them not withheld become all that which they plan to do. 7come let us down, and there their language, that they shall not understand one the another's language. 8and Hashem has them spread out from there on face of the whole earth, and they have ceased to build the city. 9therefore have they called its name Bavel, because there has Hashem confused the language of the whole earth, and from there has them Hashem spread out on face of the whole earth.
10this are the birth of Shem: to hundred year has Shem given birth to Arpachshad, two year after flood. 11and Shem has lived after as he has given birth to Arpachshad, five hundred year; and he has given birth to sons and daughters.
12and Arpachshad has lived five and thirty year, and has given birth to Shelach. 13and Arpachshad has lived after as he has given birth to Shelach, four hundred year and three year; and he has given birth to sons and daughters.
14and Shelach has lived thirty year, and has given birth to Ever. 15and Shelach has lived after as he has given birth to Ever, four hundred year and three year; and he has given birth to sons and daughters.
16and Ever has lived four and thirty year, and has given birth to Peleg. 17and Ever has lived after as he has given birth to Peleg, four hundred year and thirty year; and he has given birth to sons and daughters.
18and Peleg has lived thirty year, and has given birth to Reu. 19and Peleg has lived after as he has given birth to Reu, two hundred year and nine year; and he has given birth to sons and daughters.
20and reu has lived two and thirty year, and has given birth to Serug. 21and Reu has lived after as he has given birth to Serug, two hundred year and seven year; and he has given birth to sons and daughters.
22and Serug has lived thirty year, and has given birth to Nahor. 23and Serug has lived after as he has given birth to Nahor, two hundred year; and he has given birth to sons and daughters.
24and nahor has lived nine and twenty year, and has given birth to Terach. 25and Nahor has lived after as he has given birth to Terach, hundred year and nineteen year; and he has given birth to sons and daughters.
26and Terach has lived seventy year, and has given birth to Avram, Nahor, and Haran.
27and this are the birth of Terach: Terach has given birth to Avram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran has given birth to Lot. 28and Haran is died at life of his father Terach, in land of his birth, in Ur-Kasdim. 29and Avram and Nahor have self taken wives; the name of Avram's wife is having been Sarai, and the name of Nachor's wife is having been Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah and the father of Yiskah. 30and Sarai is having been a barren, she has not have had any children.
31and Terach has taken his son Avram, and his grandson Lot, the son of Terach, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Avram, and they are having come out with them from Ur-Kasdim, to go to land Canaan. and they are having come to Charan, and have self there settled.
32and the days of Terach are having been two hundred year and five year. and Terach is died in Charan.
