Pearls and Promises for Your MarriageSample
KNOW GOD'S HEART
Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-13, Titus 2:3-5.
Listen carefully to what the Lord is saying as you read these passages. The love referred to in both instances is not romantic love. Rather it is a sacrificial love, a love of choice. It is choosing to put another above yourself in order to love unselfishly. What is God saying to you?
TAKE IT TO HEART
Read 1 Corinthians 13:7-8a.
Slowly and prayerfully read through today's Scripture. Copy and paste it into an email or text to yourself and/or write it on a 3x5 card and post it where you will see it - on your refrigerator, by your desk, or on your mirror. Hide it in your heart and meditate on it today.
SHARE GOD'S HEART
Where do you need to die to self? When you think through 1 Corinthians 13, what phrases pop out to you most? Or do all the verses just run right by without much meaning to you? If a verse pops out to you, take that verse today and put it into a prayer. If nothing stands out to you and it all just runs together, ask the Lord in your prayer time to show you the area where you need the most improvement.
