Almost Missed It I wonder how often I’ve missed the incredible, consistent goodness of God when “looking the other way”, as Asaph put it. How often am I comparing myself, or envying someone else’s life, or complaining about the weather, or wishing something was different? As this Psalm closes, it’s clear the writer never wants to miss God’s goodness again. “Father God, how could I almost have missed it? Too often I’ve confused your loving discipline with punishment. I’ve seen you at work, but failed to see your heart. Forgive me, Lord. Open my eyes. Don’t let me miss Your amazing goodness today. In Jesus’s name. Amen.”
