The Armor-Wearing Parent: 7 Days to Fight Back SpirituallySample

The Sword...Speak It, Don’t Just Frame It
Too many parents know of the Word but don’t use the Word. We frame verses on the wall and stitch them on pillows — but when the real battle shows up, we forget that our Bible is a sword, not just decoration.
The enemy doesn’t flinch at cute verse art, he flees when you speak the Word out loud like you mean it. The Sword of the Spirit is the only offensive piece of your armor. It’s how you swing back when lies hit your mind and fear tries to settle in your house.
You don’t need to know the whole Bible in one day. Pick one promise and declare it every time fear, shame, or rebellion shows up. Speak it over your child’s room at night. Speak it when your mind races at 2am. Speak it when your flesh wants to react instead of stand in truth.
Hell hopes you stay silent. Swing your sword instead. This is how you fight — not with empty threats, but with living, breathing truth that never fails.
Reflection
What’s one lie or fear you need to swing your sword at today? What promise from God can you declare instead?
Prayer
God, thank You that Your Word is alive and sharper than anything the enemy can throw at me. Teach me to speak it boldly over my mind, my child, and my home. Remind me to swing my sword, not just frame it. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Let’s be real, parenting is a spiritual battlefield. The enemy doesn’t want your kids’ grades he wants their hearts, minds, and your sanity. But you’re not called to fight uncovered. The Armor-Wearing Parent plan is 7 days of unapologetic, spiritual bootcamp. Ashley Lunnon hands you clear, raw truths on how to cover your mind, guard your heart, speak truth, stand steady in chaos, and swing Scripture like the weapon it is.
