Man UpSample
Week 2: Be a Man for Your Family
One of the most important aspects of these passages is to always keep the end in mind. We may feel that we can barely get day to day with young children, between disciplining, resolving fights, teaching, playing games, etc. These passages remind us that the things we do as parents have lasting effects – putting in the hard work now will allow us to rejoice when our children turn out to be blessings. How much sorrow we will have one day to see our children leave the faith, knowing we did not try our hardest to raise them according to God’s word. We cannot always blame ourselves for our children straying, but it’s a constant reminder to do all that we can as they grow up, so that we can be content in our old age to see our children as blessings. Go about today with the end in mind.Practical Steps
- 1.) Pray this morning that God would give you supernatural energy and resolve to be the best father you can be today, knowing that one day our children will need to make the decision for themselves to follow God.
