Lent | Week 2: Trusting God for What You NeedSample

Trusting God with Our Worries
Worries and what-ifs can really weigh you down. Have you ever lain awake at night fretting over different worst-case scenarios? What if the money runs out? What if the diagnosis isn’t good? What if things don’t work out the way I hoped?
Like we read yesterday, a lot of us feel like we have to figure everything out on our own. Worry can put that same pressure on us, and over time, all our concerns can weigh us down.
But Jesus is inviting you to release that weight. He sees your needs, he knows what you’re uncertain about, and he already has a plan in motion to take care of it. You’ll still feel worried from time to time, but the thing that makes a difference is handing them over to him instead of carrying them yourself. What worries do you need to let go of today?
Pray: God, I release my worries to you today. I trust that you will care for me and provide for all my needs. Amen.

About this Plan

In the second week of Lent, we’ll see how God met the needs of his people in the Bible - whether through manna in the wilderness, provision in scarcity, or strength in weakness. As we reflect on these stories, we’ll be challenged to trust that he is faithful to provide everything we truly need as we focus our attention back on him. 📖 This is part 2 of a 6-part Bible Reading Plan series! Part 1 is "Lent Week 1: Turning Back to God"
