Week 1 Reflection Questions
- If others were to look at your life, would they say that you are following the world or Jesus? Why?
- What sins are you holding on to that are keeping you from living the abundant life promised through Christ? What sins, if any, do you need to confess to God and repent from? Take some time to pray and repent.
- If you were to describe God in three words, what words would you choose? Why? What characteristics of God are hard for you to trust, and which ones are easy? Why?
- What in your life feels broken? Take some time to be honest with God and pray for hope in the waiting and hope for restoration.
- Where are you tempted to take revenge or justice into your own hands? How can you open your hands to trust in God’s deliverance and begin to pray for your enemies?
About this Plan
When looking around today, it is easy to wonder when justice will prevail and evil will cease. God’s Word provides a message of hope. Even in the midst of sin and hardship, God never stops pursuing us. When the people of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah continued to turn from God, He sent prophets to call the people back to a relationship with Him. In this four-week devotional study, we’ll dig into the books of the minor prophets to see our pursuing God, who is both faithful and just.
