Giving God All Our Praise

He alone is my beloved. He shines in dazzling splendor yet is still so approachable—without equal as he stands above all others, outstanding among ten thousand!

Jesus is the vine, and we are branches attached to that vine, drawing our strength and life from Him as our source. This fulfilling, encouraging, joyful connection to God causes us to arise and praise Him for His goodness and amazing love.

This is what the Shulamite discovered in Song of Songs. As she drew closer to her Shepherd-King, she delighted in His wonderful love for her. She saw Him through the eyes of love, seeing how dazzling He is, with His kindness, His loving care, His thoughtfulness, and His abundance. The Shepherd-King stands above all others. No one can compare to our great Lord!

As we give God glory for who He is and all He does for us, we discover anew every day our love for Him. Praise refreshes us and strengthens us. It causes us to move forward into success and empowers us to share the Good News. It is easy to speak of the blessings God gives to all who call upon His name in faith. As we share what He has done and glorify Him, the Holy Spirit can work through us to draw others to Jesus.

As you share the Good News, take the focus off of yourself, and be sure to give God all of the glory. Remember that it is not in your own strength that you are doing so. It’s all God! Trust Him to pour out His love and His healing power. When He does so, praise Him for it and give Him all the glory.

Here are three Bible-based affirmations to strengthen your faith today:

I AM filled with praise for the Lord. I AM shouting to the world the greatness of God. I AM excited about all God has done.

Remember, we capitalize the I AM to demonstrate our awareness that Christ in us gives us everything we need. We are nothing without Him.
