Forgiveness is good news

Salaam!

Today, I want to ask you an important question: do you know if you’ve been forgiven?

It is important that we forgive others, but the reason we can and should forgive others is because God forgave us first!

Multiple times God makes it clear that we need to forgive so that we can receive His forgiveness:

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins”. – Matthew 6:14-15

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven”. – Luke 6:37

“Forgive as the Lord forgave you”. – Colossians 3:13

Why do you need His forgiveness?... Because, like me, you are also a sinner 🫢

We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and we all need God’s forgiveness. The good news is that Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross.

“In Christ, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us”. – Ephesians 1:7-8

How do you get His forgiveness?... Repent and receive it!

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”. – 1 John 1:9

Let’s pray: "Lord Jesus, thank You for Your sacrifice on the cross, today I repent and receive Your forgiveness. Amen"
