Pause and Pray: 9 Days of the Fruit of the SpiritSample
Let’s Share Jesus’ Gentleness
Sin is real, rampant, and deadly, and we are to draw others out of the darkness and into God’s light of eternity in heaven. Sadly, we’ve become complacent due to the fear of being branded as judgmental and self-righteous, so we fail to reach those trapped in the vortex of sin, which leads to their spiritual death.
When we see someone who is suffering in a sea of hardship, even when their circumstances are the result of the poor choices that they made, may we show them empathy as we acknowledge the goodness, kindness, forgiveness, and gentleness of God toward us. We never know the impact we can have on someone’s life when we extend to them that branch to hope, compassion, and tenderness.
Today’s color of the day is silver. Whenever you see something silver, find a way to share Jesus’ gentleness with someone around you. Consider sharing the good news with someone in your neighborhood. And then at 1:11 p.m., pause and pray with believers around the world, thanking God for the gentleness he has shown you.
Jesus of gentleness, help our hearts to be grieved by the gravity of sin’s effects and to be stirred into action to help gently restore those whom it has trapped. You suffered in agony so that we could stand before you sinless and live with you for eternity in heaven. Ignite our hearts to share your living gospel. Let us never miss an opportunity.

About this Plan
Because of our overscheduled lives, many Christians relish God’s Word on Sunday but struggle to find time to walk with Jesus throughout the week. In these nine devotions, Bobbie Cox offers practical reminders to cultivate the fruit of the Spirit, encouraging you to reflect Jesus’ character every day. One small change today can become a habit that will extend Jesus’ hope to everyone around you.
