We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

DAY 72 OF 365

Day 72 of 365

In Numbers 7, Israel’s leaders bring offerings to dedicate the altar, expressing gratitude and devotion to God. Numbers 8 highlights the consecration of the Levites, showing what it means to live set apart for His purposes. Together, these acts of worship reflect a commitment to prioritize God above all.

In Mark 13, Jesus calls His followers to stay alert, awaiting His return in glory. Just as the Israelites honored God through worship and service, we are called to reflect our devotion by living with purpose and readiness. The Holy Spirit empowers us to focus on God’s presence now while preparing for His future kingdom.

These passages remind us that worship and vigilance go hand in hand. Like the Levites, we are set apart to reflect His holiness and anticipate His coming.

Today, consider how your life demonstrates readiness for Christ’s return. Are you living with a heart devoted to God? Invite the Spirit to guide you in aligning your life with His purposes.

About this Plan

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
