How do you respond when you are tempted to sin?
Jesus must have felt weak after being in the wilderness for 40 days with nothing to eat. While in the wilderness, the devil tried to tempt Jesus to sin 3 times. Even though Jesus was weary, He left us an example of how we should respond when we are tempted in our lives today. When tempted to sin, Jesus responded each time by quoting scripture. The Word of God is powerful, and the devil hates the Word of God.
When we are tempted to sin, it would be wise to follow Jesus’ example by quoting scripture that is relevant to the temptation. What Bible verses do you need to memorize so you can quote them next time you are tempted to sin?
