21 Days of PresenceSample
Day 15: The Power of Perspective
Focus Scripture:
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” – Romans 12:2
God’s way of doing things often calls for us to look at situations from a different angle—with a mature perspective. It’s easy to get stuck in our own way of thinking, and to attempt to operate in new seasons with expired perspectives. When we align ourselves with God’s will, we begin to see things differently—opportunities, solutions, and possibilities that might have seemed hidden before. This shift in perspective isn’t always instant or easy, but it’s something that happens as we spend time in Scripture and prayer.
By reading the Bible, we’re reminded of God’s promises, His character, and the way He works in the world. This renews our minds, helping us filter out our own limited perspectives and tune into His greater plan. Prayer helps us stay connected to God, seeking His guidance and wisdom for the daily decisions we face.
It’s not about magically seeing everything fall into place, but about learning to trust that God’s plan is unfolding [with perfect precision], even in the midst of adversity. And as we stay connected to Him through Scripture and prayer, we begin to notice the ways He’s working around us—and we become more attuned to the opportunities He’s calling us to embrace.
Reflection Prompt:
- What area of your life needs a shift in perspective?
- How can you start seeing challenges as opportunities for growth and service?
Call to Action:
Take some time today to meditate on a situation you’re facing. Ask God to help you see it through His eyes and give you a fresh perspective on the opportunity it presents.
