Tis the Season to Be Looking: A 5 Day Devotional by Justeina Brownlee Sample

Day 1: He Came – God’s Promise Fulfilled
This season, let’s remember that God always keeps His promises. The birth of Jesus was foretold long before He came. Prophets like Isaiah and Micah declared that a Savior would be born of a virgin and come from Bethlehem.
A faithful man, Simeon waited for years to see this promise fulfilled. God assured him he would see the Messiah, and in Jesus, he did. Simeon’s joy teaches us that God fulfills His word.
Today, trust that God is faithful to every promise, even if you’re in a season of waiting. Reflect on promises He has kept in your life and be encouraged.
