Strengthen Your Faith #4 a New Life

DAY 6 OF 8

Renewing Your Life

The Apostle Paul meets a group of disciples in Ephesus who, although they were believers, had not yet received the Holy Spirit.

Paul explains to them the full truth about Jesus Christ and, after they are baptized, he lays his hands on them.

Immediately the Holy Spirit comes upon them, and they begin to speak in tongues and prophesy, just as the disciples did on the day of Pentecost.

This episode shows that the Holy Spirit was not reserved only for the apostles or the early believers, but is a promise valid for all followers of Christ, in every generation.

You, today, can experience the Holy Spirit in the same way. The experience of the Ephesians reminds us that, to receive the fullness of the Spirit, it is necessary to abandon oneself completely to the will of God.

This act of submission is not a simple intellectual adherence, but a true entrustment of oneself entirely into the hands of the Lord.

Renewing one’s adherence to Christ means recognizing one’s dependence on Him and deeply desiring to live according to His will.

When we abandon ourselves to God with sincerity and humility, He responds by giving us His Spirit. The Holy Spirit, once received, transforms our lives. He fills us with peace, joy and spiritual strength, guides us in every decision and enables us to live a life that reflects the holiness of Christ.

In addition, the Holy Spirit equips us with spiritual gifts, such as the ability to serve others and to proclaim the Gospel with power.

The promise of the Holy Spirit is not a distant reality, but is accessible to you today. If you surrender to Him and renew your faith, the Spirit of God can renew your life and give you new spiritual power.
