EquipHer Vol. 5: "Leadership Choices"Sample
Day 5: God’s Economy
Being a good leader also means making the intentional decision to be a good steward of the resources that God has entrusted to us. Scripture reminds us that everything we possess—time, talents, finances—are gifts to be used to serve others and honor God.
The concept of “God’s economy,” invites us to see our resources not merely as means for personal gain, but as opportunities to express Christ’s character and His love to others.
Jesus’ life is a striking example of how this divine economy operates. Despite having the power to perform miracles, He often devoted Himself to serving the sick and marginalized. His mission was clear: to restore dignity and hope to those who lacked it. We, too, are called to view our resources as blessings from God, intended to make a difference in the lives of those we recognize as needing help.
If you and I can offer someone our assistance, what better way to honor God with the resources He has given us than this?!
When we make the decision to work for God, rather than ourselves, we radically change how we utilize and manage the resources at our disposal.
When God encounters a heart willing to do His will and become a blessing in His hands to touch the lives of others, we realize we are part of a bigger plan that goes far beyond what we can imagine. The decision to adopt this mentality through all our business endeavors, enables us to become vessels of change and hope.
Prayer
Lord, I thank You for the resources You have given me. Help me to make the right choices and see new opportunities to serve others and to reflect Your love to those around me. Guide me in finding creative ways to contribute to the well-being of the people in my life, and let my actions always be a reflection of Your love and goodness. Amen.
