Investing in Eternal TreasureSample
Day 2: Generosity as Eternal Investment
1 Timothy 6:17-19 NIV “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”
Reflection:
Paul encourages believers not to trust in wealth, which is fleeting and uncertain. Instead, we are to trust in God, who provides for all our needs. Financial success is not inherently wrong, but it should never be our source of security. God’s command is clear: use what you have to do good, be rich in good deeds, and share generously. By doing so, we invest in eternal treasures that have far more lasting value than any temporary wealth.
Application:
Are there areas where you can be more generous with your finances or resources? Consider how you can bless others today, whether through giving to a ministry, helping someone in need, or supporting missions. As you give, remember that each act of generosity is an investment in your eternal future with God.
Prayer:
"Father, help me to put my hope in You, not in material wealth. Give me a heart of generosity that seeks to bless others and bring glory to You. May my financial investments reflect my trust in You and my desire to lay up treasure in heaven. In Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen."

About this Plan
In these three days, we’ve explored how to invest in eternal treasure through generosity, trust in God’s provision, and working with a heart of service. True treasure lies not in what we accumulate on earth but in what we store up in heaven through acts of love, generosity, and obedience to God. As you continue this journey, let your financial decisions and daily actions reflect an eternal perspective, always seeking to honour God with all He has entrusted you.
