Cultivate a Life of Impact

DAY 10 OF 10

CULTIVATE A WHOLE SOCIETY

The New Testament is about bringing things back together, making peace, and healing. God is working to bring His kingdom not just in heaven but here on earth too. As believers, we are invited to join in this work to help establish His kingdom here.

Jeremiah 29:7 (ESV) guides us:

‘But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.’

We trust God to restore these areas:

  • Reaching out to those who are spiritually lost.
  • Restoring broken relationships.
  • Healing deep problems in all levels of society.

To do this effectively, we need to make five major changes:

  1. Change how we think about the gospel - Based on Romans 3:24, this becomes the foundation for everything we teach and do.
  2. Change how we view our people - According to Ephesians 4:11-13, everyone should be equipped to do their ministry work.
  3. Change how we think about church - In Matthew 13:33, we learn that everyone influences the community.
  4. Change how we view other churches - Ecclesiastes 4:9 teaches us that we are all working together in a kingdom system, making a difference together.
  5. Change how we engage with the city - Matthew 5:13-14 shows us that we are not just local ministers but ministers to a whole area.

We want our communities and cities to be places where God reigns. This can happen when we deal with spiritual lostness, social pain, and deep-rooted problems. Addressing social pain requires not just spiritual leadership but also a strong, intentional effort in relationships. Love is the main way to heal social pain. Fixing systemic and cultural problems is only possible when people truly accept Christ as Lord.

Two questions to ask yourself today:

  1. What part of your community does God want to restore?
  2. What change in thinking is He asking you to make?

Our prayer:

Jesus, You are truly Lord in our community. We want to see lost people find You, broken relationships healed, and deep problems fixed. Today, we choose to work with You to bring Your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Day 9

About this Plan

Cultivate a Life of Impact

All of us have a direct impact on the people around us. We do not choose whether we impact others or not, we simply determine the quality of impact we possibly have on others. In this Bible-plan we would like to coach you to expand your impact on the world around you for the sake of the kingdom.
