I Can Make a Difference!

Okay, today’s video story is so inspiring that you might want to start doing cartwheels or something after you watch it! It might also make you want to eat a sandwich.

Some problems are just too big. Can one person really do much about them?

Watch this.

Wow! One person moving with God’s compassion can absolutely make a difference! Jesus said that every single act of compassion and kindness done to others is just like doing it right to Him. That’s how much God values acts of compassion.

So, what’s a problem you and your family care about that’s close to home? Talk to one another about it. Is it taking groceries to people who can’t get out of their house? Fostering pets who don’t have a home? Tutoring kids who need extra support in school? Something else?

Once you’ve settled on something you care about, you can get moving! You can start with praying big prayers! You could share your time by volunteering with an organization that’s working to solve the problem you care about, or maybe you’ll create some other way to meet the needs you see! You can joyfully work with others to share God’s care with everyone—because God’s care can move impossible mountains!

Pray: God, Your compassionate care is powerful. Help me to ask for and receive compassionate care when I need it. Help me to joyfully give compassionate care when I see a problem that I can help solve. In Jesus’ name, amen.
