The Happy Days and the Ones That Aren'tSample

One thing that’s true in life? You can’t always change your circumstances. We can’t always get out of the class that’s killing our GPA, get our coach to give us a break, or see our parents get back together. Life happens, and, for better or worse, there’s not always much we can do to change it. That’s what makes God’s peace so invaluable. While life may feel chaotic on the outside, you can still experience peace on the inside.
When you give your worries and concerns to God, you’re essentially trusting God to take care of your circumstances rather than trying to manage them yourself. And little by little, peace will help ease your worries when you do. Then, regardless of what happens around you, you’ll find peace inside of you to keep your heart, mind, and faith steady in the face of it all.
Today, use this prayer to ask God for peace in your current circumstances: God, I ask for Your peace that goes beyond what I understand. Help my heart and mind to feel calm. Give me faith to trust You in all things. Fill me with reminders of Your presence and unchanging love. Amen.
