DAY 6 OF 7

The Storm Inside Us

Hi #coffeewithsam family,

This morning I woke up with a strong impression to write this reflection. I believe there's someone out there who really needs to hear this, wherever you are.

Did you know? There are storms and anxieties in our lives that we often try to hide, so not many people know or realize they exist.

On the outside, we try to appear strong, resilient, and smiling, but inside we feel so tired, broken, and unsure of what to do next.

Yes, the storm of anxiety is in our hearts. The problem is, if we let this storm in our hearts continue to rage, there will undoubtedly be a lot of damage within our lives.

Our souls will become increasingly pressured and stressed, impacting our physical condition because we become restless.

And everything we neglect and do not take care of will only worsen. I am reminded of what King David experienced, felt, and said in

Psalm 42 : 6 (NIV), "Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God."

Did you know, the greatest storm is not outside us but within our lives.

Therefore, remember, "The Lord who calms the storm and the turbulent winds is the same one who will calm the storm of anxiety in your heart."

Matthew 24 : 27 (NLT) But Jesus spoke to them at once. “It’s all right,” he said. “I am here! Don’t be afraid.”

You are not alone, He is with you and will never leave you as you face everything you are going through right now.

1 Peter 5 : 7 (NIV) Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Surrender your worries to God and you will find strength and peace.

No matter where you are, God is there with you. Be calm, my soul; I know I am not alone. There is strength and peace.
