The Power of AgreementSample
Get Off of My Boat
The story of Jonah reminds us of the consequences of agreeing with the wrong people. Jonah’s disobedience led him onto a ship that was not destined for his calling. The sailors paid the price for his rebellion, demonstrating that our choices affect not only us but those around us.
Jonah's journey teaches us about the dangers of being in agreement with the wrong people. When Jonah boarded a ship with sailors who were not aligned with God's purpose, they faced a violent storm. Their lives were at risk because of Jonah's disobedience and misalignment with God's will.
This story reminds us that our choices can affect those around us. We must be mindful of the company we keep and the agreements we enter into. Surrounding ourselves with those who seek God's will can bring blessings, while aligning with those who lead us away from God can lead to turmoil.
Consider the ‘boats’ you may be on—are they leading you toward your destiny or away from it? It’s essential to be in agreement with God and His plans. Sometimes, we need to let go of relationships or situations that are hindering our growth and calling.
Affirmation:
I release any agreements that do not align with God’s purpose for my life. I choose to follow His direction and trust in His plans. I choose to surround myself with those who support and uplift me in my journey with God.
Prayer:
Lord, I repent for any agreements that I have entered into that do not align with Your will. Help me to recognize the relationships and situations that are hindering my calling. I choose to step off any boat that leads me away from You and trust in Your guidance. In Jesus name, Amen
