In our world of instant everything, waiting feels like wasted time. But what if that waiting period for your finances to turn around is actually crucial for your growth?

Waiting is hard, especially when you're watching your friends buy houses or take fancy vacations while you're scraping by. It's tempting to think God has put your life on pause while everyone else moves forward.

It's okay to feel frustrated or even angry about our current situation. But let’s look at what the Bible says about what we’re going through.

Isaiah 40:31 tells us that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength and James 1:2-4 even suggests we should consider trials a joy because they produce perseverance.

Finally, Psalm 27:14 encourages us to be strong and take heart as we wait for the Lord.

These verses reveal something counterintuitive: waiting, especially with our money, can actually spark personal growth and spiritual maturity.

And what if this waiting period is actually preparing us for something greater? What if God is using this time to teach us lessons that will be crucial for our future?

I like to think of it like this: financial challenges are like resistance training for our faith.

Just like lifting weights breaks down muscles so they grow back stronger, money struggles, when approached right, can strengthen our faith and character.

During these waiting times, we can:

2. Learn to be content no matter what
3. Grow in empathy for others in similar situations
4. Deepen our reliance on God

Here's a challenge for us today: Let’s pick one area of personal or spiritual growth to focus on during this financial waiting period and create a small, daily habit to help us progress.

And remember: we can't always control our money situations, but we can always control how we respond to them.
