God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 1 )Sample

2 Corinthians – Day 5
A common misconception among American Christians is that physical ailments or difficulties in life are a result of a lack of faith. We value comfort above all else and believe God wouldn’t allow us to be uncomfortable unless we were being punished. This isn’t how God works.
Paul was a man of great faith, yet he endured great hardship for the sake of Christ. He also dealt with a “thorn in his flesh.” Paul asked God three times to remove this, but He didn’t. Did Paul have faith that God could heal him? Absolutely! God was not ignoring Paul’s prayers, nor did He ever ignore yours. Sometimes He answers with a “no” or a “not yet.” This isn’t a punishment. Everything He does is for our good and His glory.
Don’t be discouraged by the difficulties you encounter. Challenge yourself to thank God for them!
