21 Days to Building a Faith Filled Family - Audio DevotionalSample
Final Reflection and Prayer
Well friend, it’s our final day of our 21-day devotional towards building a strong and healthy Christian faith in your family! You did it! Today, we will reflect on all that we have learned and experienced together.
I will open our final day together in prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for my friend. Thank you for this journey we have traveled together and everything you have revealed to us. I ask that you guide us today as we complete the final few steps on this adventure together. Help us to truly see your hand in our lives and the work you have been doing over these three weeks. We praise you for who you are. Amen.
Just like you have for every other day of this journey, I encourage you to give the next 15 minutes to Jesus. Find a comfortable place and remove any distractions.
Throughout the past three weeks, we have covered a lot of ground and explored a variety of topics that are essential to building strong, healthy, and Christ-centered families.
Let us take a moment to reflect on the ways in which God has spoken to us and moved in our hearts. Let us celebrate the progress we have made and the ways in which we have grown as individuals and as families.
I have two questions for you today. What has changed in you? What can you celebrate that God has done inside your home?
[PAUSE FOR REFLECTION]
As we move forward, let us remember that building strong families is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey. We must continue to prioritize our relationships with God and with one another, even when life gets busy or difficult. We must continue to communicate openly and honestly, to seek forgiveness and extend grace, to love and serve one another, and to persevere through challenges. And, we must revisit our goals periodically to recalibrate the direction of our lives.
While we’ve been discussing your family, so much of what we’ve covered begins with you. Your purpose inside your home is to build, enhance, and develop your relationship with your other family members. Share the life and peace that you find through the Spirit and your family members will respond. Pray for yourself, and for them to be strengthened in Christ. It’s a lifelong journey, but one that you’re equipped for.
“The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”
Romans 8:6
I encourage you to reflect back on this journey whenever you need to. You can restart at Day 1 if you’d like, or visit specific topics if you need.
Most of our teaching has been centered around the teachings of Jesus Christ. If you are unfamiliar with Him, I encourage you to take a closer look. It is not only His teachings, but His life that allows us to live in freedom from the bondage of sin. We all fall short of the glory of God and deserve to face his wrath, but Jesus, in His perfection, purchased a full pardon for each of us on the cross. The choice to accept that pardon belongs to us, and is available to everybody.
Jesus tells us that the gate is small and the road is narrow that leads to life, and only a few find it. I pray that you find that road and enter through His gate. If you have chosen Jesus, and placed your faith in him already, I pray you never lose the wonder of the price he paid for us.
I pray you carry that message in your heart and share it with and through your family. Those in your home are your first and most important ministry. Not your only, but definitely your most important. Walk confidently in that calling and your purpose inside your family.
Let us also remember that we are not alone on this journey. God is with us, guiding us and sustaining us, and we have one another to lean on and support. As we close, let us offer a prayer of gratitude for all that God has done and a dedication to continue seeking His will and His way for our families.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today with hearts full of gratitude for all that you have taught us and all that you have done in our lives and in our families over the past three weeks. We thank you for your love, your grace, and your guidance. We thank you for the opportunity to grow and learn together.
As we conclude our journey, we ask that you continue to be with us as we move forward. Help us to keep you at the center of our lives and our families. Help us to communicate openly and honestly, to seek forgiveness and extend grace, and to love and serve one another. Help us to persevere through challenges and to trust in your plan for our lives.
We pray for your blessings upon our families, that we may continue to grow in faith and in love. We pray that you would grant us the strength and wisdom to navigate the challenges that we will face in the days and years ahead.
Thank you for the gift of family, and for the opportunity to grow and learn together. We dedicate ourselves and our families to you, and ask that you would continue to guide and bless us in all that we do.
In Jesus' name we pray,
Amen.
Thank you for your time with me.
May you be blessed.
