Single Sister, You MatterSample

Reflection
On this final day, I invite you to reflect on all you’ve read.
- What parts of your story of singleness are you still wrestling with?
- What parts have you come to accept?
- What are you beginning to celebrate?
- What do you believe God is saying to you right now?
I am so proud of you for coming this far and for being vulnerable enough to engage with such a sensitive area in our lives.
I leave you with the caption of an Instagram post from @thecatholichypewoman
dear single women,
we are so sorry
for preaching that you need to be satisfied with Jesus for Him to give you your future husband
for when messaging about “get married young” hasn’t left space for the reality that it’s a deep desire of your heart but not what Father is calling you to in this season
for when you haven’t been allowed to set boundaries & steward your time & mental energy well because you don’t have a husband & kids
for when you’ve felt left out & left behind & the things we’ve done to contribute to that
because here’s the truth:
💕 you are immeasurably priceless, just based on who you are & we celebrate that
💕 you are worthy of love & we need to hold space for hope in your life, to carry hope with you for what Father is bringing about, not making vocation about a striving-based check-list
💕 our seasons ARE vastly different & there’s messiness in reconciling that - & there’s also so much we can learn from each other
💕 the Church needs you. & Jesus needs you to come & let Him fill your cup before we demand your gifts & talents.
you’re loved, we’re cheering for you, & we’re so dang thankful for you 🫶🏼
love,
your imperfect sisters who haven’t graduated from a need for grace just because we’re married (we need it now, more than ever) 💗
