Jesus Among Us: Walking With Him in His Ministry and MiraclesSample

Something So Much Greater
Mustard seeds are tiny, only one to two millimeters long, but they can grow quickly and spread rapidly. They are almost weed-like in force. Jesus’s gospel message started off being shared between individuals and among small groups but quickly reached crowds and then masses of people. This is how the work of the Holy Spirit spreads. It begins as a small seed that grows in someone’s heart and then spreads to those around them, continuing from person to person until the numbers seem endless.
We may feel insignificant at times, but we’re part of something so much greater than we know. If you trust Jesus with your heart and seek His Word, God will grow you to new heights. But even at the start, when your journey is just beginning, God can still use you. Some people mistakenly think that their faith and their walk with God have to be at a certain level before He can use them. Not true. Remember, God is great at meeting people where they are and using what they already have. You’re changing lives already and may not even realize it.
How do you feel God is growing you spiritually right now?
How have you seen God spread His message through your life and the lives of other believers you know?
Jesus, thank You for meeting me where I am and using my faith to impact others, no matter how large or small my faith is at the time. Help me to remember that I am an important part of something so much greater than I can see: Your eternal purposes for Your kingdom, which You are carrying out every day. In Your name, amen.
