7 Simple Ways to Worship GodSample
KEY 7: Worship says, "Your will be done."
It's hard. No one wants to suffer hardships like Jesus suffered at the Cross. However, Jesus said to His disciples in John 16:33 that in this world they will have difficulties, trouble and tribulation.
And then His encouragement to us – but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
Have peace. Be brave. Jesus has defeated the devil and overcame everything that ever passed His way. Any trouble this world offers is only temporary.
Even when a believing loved one passes after a sickbed or accident – remember, Jesus overcame death and hell so they can live forever. Give thanks to the Lord for His Son's life, example, death, resurrection and the fact that He is coming again! Scripture is clear – because of what Jesus did – when you completely surrender your life to follow Him alone, you now belong to the Kingdom of Heaven. Give thanks to the Lord as often as you are reminded for He now calls you:
- Child of God – Luke 18:17
- Friend – John 15:15
- Free – Romans 8:2, Galatians 5:1
- Accepted and Loved – Ephesians 1:3–6
- Chosen – Colossians 3:12
- A New Creation – 2 Corinthians 5:17
- Child – Galatians 4:7
- Citizen of Heaven – Philippians 3:20
- Blessed – Ephesians 1:3
- Loved – 1 Thessalonians 1:4
These promises are more than enough reason to worship God every day.
It strengthens us daily to say: Your will be done.
