Comfort in AnxietySample
The chains are broken
“The Lord sets the prisoners free” (Psalm 146:3)
He's done it before. Remember Joseph, Israel in Egypt, Manasseh, Jeremiah, Peter, and many others who were delivered by God. He's still capable of doing it. He shatters barriers and breaks chains effortlessly. Right now, troubled souls are finding relief and freedom in countless places. Jesus continues to declare liberation for those held captive. Even as we speak, prison doors are swinging open, and chains are falling to the ground.
If you're burdened with sorrow, doubt, and fear, know that it brings joy to Jesus to set you free. It's His delight to grant you liberty. He finds as much pleasure in releasing you as you do in being set free. You don't have to break free on your own; the Lord Himself will do it. Just trust Him, and He will be your liberator. Have faith in Him, despite the formidable obstacles before you. Satan cannot imprison you, sin cannot hold you captive, not even despair can restrain you if you choose to believe in the Lord Jesus, in the boundless grace He offers, and in His mighty power to save. Stand firm against the enemy, and let the words in front of you become your anthem of deliverance: "The Lord sets the prisoners free."
