DAY 20: EVANGELISM

Prayer Topic: Pray for opportunities to share the gospel.

Devotional: Evangelism is the proclamation of the gospel message to others. In Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV), Jesus commissions His followers, saying, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

We can often over complicate what evangelism looks like. For many of us when you think of someone boldly sharing their faith we think of someone standing on the side of the road with a sign that says heaven or hell. But really evangelism could be offering to pray for your co-worker who's going through a tough time. It can be sharing your testimony on how God has shown you favor and healing. It can even be as simple as leaving the store and telling someone God bless you. We all have a call by God to share our faith with someone else. As we near the end of this fast, pray for opportunities to share the gospel with those around you. Ask God to use you as a vessel to lead others to Christ.
