PRAYER FOR TODAY
Almighty God, You are the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. You do not faint or grow weary; Your understanding is unsearchable (Isaiah 40:28) and Your power is beyond comprehension.
As we consider Your mighty ways, help us remain in Your presence and patiently wait for You to act. While it might feel like a difficult task, help us not to worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.
By Your Spirit, enable us to refrain from anger and turn from wrath; may we not get upset, for we know it leads only to evildoing (Psalm 37:7-8). May each of us turn to You and trust in Your sovereign plan. For Your ways are perfect.
ONE QUESTION
Are there areas where I need to stop getting angry and start trusting in God's sovereign plan?
ABOUT THIS PHOTO
- Located in the Cepheus Constellation, Sh2-131 / IC 1396 (also known as The Elephant's Trunk Nebula) can be found about 2,400 light years from Earth.
To capture this image, I used the FSQ-106 530mm f/5 telescope, the Paramount MyT (to follow the earth's rotation), and the QSI 683wsg-8 (8300) camera. To render all the data, I photo-stacked 74 x 1800 second exposures together for a total of 37 hours of data—13.5 hours of sulfur, 14.5 hours of hydrogen, and 9 hours of oxygen). The sulfur is represented in the outer red/orange band, followed by hydrogen in green, and then oxygen in blue.
God's artwork is everywhere; don’t miss it! To Him be the glory.
