Pause: A Month of Prayer in Five Minutes a DaySample
Proclaim
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Phil. 4:6)
Prompt
In the bad times, when you’re crying out to God over and over, and it seems like He has turned a deaf ear to you, it can be hard to remember, but take this in:
God is for you. God is truly, truly for you!
Today is a day to remind yourself of this over and over and over again. Say it now!
GOD IS FOR ME!
This can sometimes be hard to believe when it feels like everything sucks, but it’s an unchanging truth. God is on your side!
Don’t give up. Don’t quit calling on Him. Don’t abandon prayer and petition just because life is hard. He’s still there. Believe it!

Pray
Jesus, just like the sun behind clouds, I know you’re there even though I can’t see you. Warm me today with your love. I need you today to help get me through. No matter what I'm about to walk into, Jesus comes and invades my life. Make me new, make me whole, give me hope! Amen.

About this Plan
Depression. Loneliness. Comparison. Greed. Addiction. People-pleasing. These are tools of the enemy to steal your calling and rob your joy. In this reading plan, drawn from his book, Lance Lang invites you to neutralize those tools by pausing each day, studying scripture, reading encouragement, taking action, and refocusing your attention on Jesus. Press forward into what God has for you. Press pause.
