Red Flags, Respect, & RelationshipsSample

When we begin following God, we are given God’s Spirit—the Holy Spirit. When that happens, God’s Spirit works in us to develop things like power, love, and self-discipline. If we’re honest, the self-discipline part sounds a little difficult, right? It’s not easy to pause, to not do something we know isn’t best for us, to put others before ourselves. But as followers of God, it’s so important! Self-discipline gives us the power we need to turn away from what may not be the best for ourselves or the people we’re in a relationship with. It helps us turn toward God’s best instead!
Is there an area of your life where you need more self-discipline? Take time to think about the ways that, with the help of God’s Spirit, you can work on that this week!
