Day 4: The Transition - Mindset Shift

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." Philippians 4:8

It's understandable that we all want to break free from the confines of worry, but it's not always a simple task. Even as we cast our cares on God daily, it will still take time and effort to shift from a constant state of worry to a posture of worship. The shift requires that we take intentional steps to change our thought patterns and protect our minds with the truth of God's word when anxious thoughts arise. This allows us to recall to mind the goodness of God. His faithfulness. The blessings (tangible and intangible) that He has bestowed upon us. "If there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]" Philippians 4:8 AMP. I love how the Amplified version of this verse emphasizes the significance of consistently keeping praiseworthy things at the forefront of our minds.

When we renew our minds, we transform ourselves (Romans 12:2). With the help of the Holy Spirit, the change begins. Whenever we feel worried, we can acknowledge it and then focus on the Word of God. We can counteract our worries and find peace by meditating on His promises. This serves as a source of inspiration for our worship.

One of the beautiful aspects of scripture is its ability to relate to any situation we have faced, currently face, or may face in the future.

●Your finances,

●Your relationships,

●Your career,

●Your children,

●Your purpose,

●Everything – it's all there.

If you're not sure where to find guidance, consider seeking help from a trusted friend, a ministry leader at your local church, or pastor. Knowing what the Bible teaches about the current situation causing you to worry can help direct your thoughts in a positive direction. Allow God's word to bring healing to your mind today.

Pause. Pray. Reflect.

Reread Philippians 4:8. Take some time to find 2-3 scriptures you can read to redirect your focus when you feel anxious or worried.
