Transformed or Conformed?
Some people of faith believe once they have accepted Jesus as Saviour, then a “free ticket” with no responsibilities to heaven is provided. Once a ticket has been issued, they believe there is no need to be concerned about how to live. But how we live is very important to Jesus. Jesus transforms lives. He died for us and we are reminded in Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Our salvation came at a tremendous cost and when we become disciples, we are followers of Jesus called to live lives worthy of His sacrifice. Living a life transformed by His power means we are submitting to His Will. Is your life at this moment reflecting the transformation that salvation brings?
Prayer: Blessed be Your Name, Jesus. Thank you for my salvation so holy and pure. You have given me new life and I pray my life be filled with your presence to serve others as you did. May your grace and love flow through me by Your Spirit to do Your Will. I submit my life under the transforming power of Your Spirit. Amen.
