PhilippiansSample
Looking at verses 6 and 7 it says,
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)
This directly ties into choosing joy. When our knowledge of God grows I believe our peace and joy grows with it. As we walk in relationship with the Father we begin to understand that he is taking care of our every need and problems that we once had begin to fade in comparison to the knowledge of God.
I believe it is imperative to grow in discipline in noticing God in everything and inviting him into our “mundane spaces” and not just the spaces that were set apart for him. But to let God into all of our life by “praying consistently”. Little prayers, small prayers, short prayers, often prayers. I believe these are the prayers that are most important because they beg God into a consistent dwelling with us. Then we can be as this verse describes, anxious for nothing and thankful to know God.

About this Plan
The letter to the church in Philippi is an incredible example of what it means to live as a follower of Jesus in light of what was accomplished in Jesus' death and resurrection. This book is an essential text for the church as we seek to live the way of Jesus in practice.
