Confidence: We walk with Jesus
In a world often shaken by uncertainty and doubt, we have been granted a remarkable gift — confidence through our faith in Jesus Christ. Our confidence is not rooted in our own strength or abilities, but in the unwavering presence and promises of our Lord and Savior.
Through our faith in Jesus, we can cultivate and experience true confidence, propelling us into a life of missional living. Here's how:
- Anchor of Confidence in Christ: Just as a ship finds stability in its anchor, our confidence finds its anchor in Christ. When the storms of life come, and uncertainty abounds, we can remain steadfast, for our foundation is secure in Jesus. Our faith is the anchor that holds us firm in the tumultuous sea of life.
- Strength in Weakness: Our confidence is not dependent on our own abilities or might, but on the strength that Christ provides. In our moments of weakness, His strength empowers us to persevere, to rise, and to face challenges with unwavering assurance. Our limitations are transformed into opportunities for God's power to manifest.
- Boldness in Faith: Confidence in Christ emboldens us to step out in faith, even when the path is unclear or intimidating. We can trust His guidance and promises, knowing that He walks beside us every step of the way. Our confidence allows us to proclaim His truth, to love unconditionally, and to serve others selflessly.
- Assurance of Salvation: Our ultimate confidence lies in the assurance of our salvation through Jesus Christ. We can boldly approach the throne of grace, knowing that our eternal destiny is secure. This assurance enables us to live with purpose, joy, and an unshakable confidence in God's plan for our lives.
May we walk each day with confidence, knowing that Jesus walks with us. As we face challenges, uncertainties, and victories, let us anchor our confidence in Him who gives us strength and guides us through every season of life. Let this confidence propel us into a missional life, sharing the love and hope we have in Christ with the world around us.
Questions to ponder:
- In what areas of my life do I tend to rely on my own understanding and abilities rather than placing my confidence in the Lord?
- What practical steps can I take each day to nurture and grow my confidence in Christ? How can I integrate prayer, scripture reading, or worship into my daily routine to reinforce this confidence?

About this Plan
We were all called to live on mission. When God calls us to something, there tends to be an internal process that we all go through – discovery, response, acceptance, trust, safety, discomfort, and confidence. Together, we'll walk through each step of the process and explore how God can use our "ordinary, mundane" lives for purpose that extends past ourselves...
