Worshipping GodSample
Spiritual Gifts and Worship
When the gifts of prophecy and tongues are used in a church, they result in conversions. When Jesus performed miracles, He would say, “Go to the priest; let him see you. Let him see that you are no longer a leper.” There was no need to overclaim and pretend.
The real gifts of the Spirit will mean that the miracles will be undoubted; the healings will be undoubted—and people will be converted.
But even when the gifts are undoubtedly being exercised, not all Christians have them. We all have different gifts, and every gift that God has tapped us on the shoulder and given us is equally important in the body. In our physical body, if we have a sore toe, we will be miserable all day long. The smallest part of the body can affect the whole.
When we get to heaven, the recognition there will not match earthly recognition. In heaven that one who is the little toe in the body will be rewarded as much as the eye if he has been faithful in that task.
